Sameday Worldwide

Increased Scanning to Serve You Better

As we continue on our journey to reduce our reliance on paper and to increase our use of technologies to improve our business, Sameday Worldwide is pleased to announce our new scanning technology project.

What is Sameday Worldwide’s new scanning technology?

The new scanning technology is the deployment of handheld devices for drivers to scan pick-ups and capture signatures on delivery for shipments picked up or delivered through our Toronto terminal.

How will this Benefit You?

  • Improved efficiency and on-time service
  • More accurate and faster flow of information
  • Online Bill of Lading (BOL)
  • Receiver’s signature available in near real time

How will this Impact You?

The major area in which you will see an impact is the provision of the Proof of Delivery (POD).    You will no longer receive a paper POD. However, you will now be able to access it through our web site in near-real time.

What shipments are impacted?

Beginning in late-November, all shipments with a destination location serviced through our Toronto terminal will no longer receive a paper POD.  We will roll this out nationwide in the coming months.
